Hi Friends,
Truly anything could happen at today’s White House meeting with Trump and
Netanyahu.
The first brought us Trump’s ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ mass
displacement plan. The second brought us a stunningly short-lived
commitment to diplomacy with Iran.

Trump and Netanyahu no doubt see their meeting as a victory lap following
the 12-day war with Iran – and there’s also the possibility of a
groundbreaking détente with Syria in the weeks ahead – but it’s the war in
Gaza that looms heaviest over proceedings.
Trump has said he will be “very firm” with Netanyahu about ending the war,
but thus far has been tragically incapable of pushing the sides into a
war-ending hostage deal – much like his predecessor.
The outcome of today’s meeting will likely set the stage for the weeks
ahead: Will Trump hold firm? Will Netanyahu manage to shift the blame and
focus once again? Will we see something wildly out of left field again,
like endorsement for annexation?
We’ll dive into all of it – and take your questions. [ [link removed] ]Register to join
