Republicans constantly put the interests of their donors ahead of the American people, gutting key government programs to fund tax cuts and subsidies for some of the richest people in human history. This is what they have done every single time they have gained power for decades. Their recent cuts to Medicaid are just further proof, literally sacrificing the lives of tens of thousands of Americans by stripping away their healthcare to line the pockets of the ultra-wealthy.
We cannot continue to send people to DC who view the federal government as if it is some bank to rob—taking taxpayer money and diverting it away from crucial services and into the hands of their corporate donors. It’s not just the GOP either—there are Dems, some of which are my opponents in this election, who also feed at the trough of billionaires and special interests.
That is why I am leading by example. I do not accept corporate or special interest cash. My campaign is fully funded by grassroots supporters and I am running on an agenda focused on making the federal government work for you with policies designed to tangibly improve your life—a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, canceling student debt, making housing affordable, etc.
