LANSING – Today, Trentin McWilliams, 24, of Norway, MI, and most recently residing in California, was sentenced to 8 to 15 years’ incarceration for sexually assaulting two minors, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. McWilliams pled no contest in May to Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for sexually assaulting a child at a relative’s residence in 2018. He also pled guilty to two counts of Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a vehicle in October 2022.
“This Operation Survivor Justice conviction is a powerful example of what this partnership can accomplish,” said Nessel at the time the defendant pled. “Through our work with the U.S. Marshals Service and the Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, we were able to deliver accountability and a measure of justice to the two courageous individuals who came forward.”
Following completion of a prison sentence, McWilliams would be subject to electronic monitoring and sex offender registration.
