Friend — Trump likes to act like a tough guy. But when it comes to the devastating violence in Gaza, he lets Netanyahu get away with murder.

Sure, Trump will have some harsh words here and there. But at the end of the day, Trump is happy to send Netanyahu and the Israeli military blank checks; money, weapons, supplies, diplomatic cover, anything they need to maintain their occupation and destruction of Gaza.

And let’s be clear. This is exactly the kind of thing that those blank checks pay for:

In a just world, America’s president would refuse to meet with any head of state who has overseen such atrocities as Netanyahu. In fact, they would arrest any head of state who who has an arrest warrant for committing war crimes by the International Criminal Court.

But the US has been complicit from the start. We have abandoned our responsibility to the world and to humanity. And that’s especially true right now, as dozens of Palestinian civilians are killed every day at food aid distribution sites that are controlled by Israel and the US.

We have blood on our hands, and it’s far past time for Congress to act.

Blocking the vast majority of aid from entering. Shooting civilians at aid sites. Air striking refugee camps. Torturing prisoners and hostages. Targeting journalists and aid workers. Destroying almost every building left standing. These are all war crimes.

We have a legal responsibility under both US and international law to stop providing any and all assistance that allows Netanyahu’s government to carry out these crimes. I am asking for your help today in pushing Congress to wake up and do the right thing.

Sign my petition today calling on Congress to take action on the situation in Gaza, without further funding for the war machine, and use any power we have to ensure maximum aid is allowed into the Strip. It is never too late to stand up for our shared humanity in the face of so much devastating violence.
