This is sobering news, friend:
Just 58% of Americans say they’re “very” or “extremely” proud to be American — down from 85% in 2013 and the lowest ever recorded by Gallup.
A record-low 58% of Americans say they’re “extremely” or “very” proud to be an American. And with Donald Trump’s terrifying return to power, it’s no surprise. Just look at what he’s already done:
→ Pardoned more than 1,600 January 6th insurrectionists
→ Slashed critical government programs that support working families
→ Froze funding for Medicare and Social Security
→ Handed Elon Musk unrestricted access to classified government systems
→ Deployed the National Guard and U.S. Marines on mostly peaceful American protesters
→ And so much more
Trump’s reign of terror is already taking a devastating toll on our democracy, so we’re polling voters in your city to see whether or not they still identify as a proud American or not.
