Friend,

Showing up to work shouldn’t feel like gambling on whether you’ll end your
day at the hospital or not. But, for thousands of Amazon workers all over
California, that’s the daily reality. A US Senate investigation found that
Amazon warehouses recorded a staggering 30 percent more injuries than the
warehousing industry average in 2023.(1)

While Amazon refuses to do anything to fix these staggering injury rates,
workers aren’t sitting idly by -- they’re organizing!

The Amazon Labor Union-IBT has published a Safety Bill of Rights, a set of
demands written by rank-and-file Amazon workers based on their daily pain,
injury, retaliation, and abuse on the shop floor.

corporations. Can you add your name to show that you stand in solidarity
with these workers and their demands for a safe, secure workplace?

Amazon is more profitable than ever.(2) Its chairman is the second richest
man in the world. It has revolutionized how we think about online
ordering. But when it comes to the safety of its employees, the company
treats the astronomical rate of injury in its warehouses as the cost of
doing business.

No one should suffer a life-altering injury for the sake of next-day
delivery. The commonsense demands laid out by workers include things many
of us take for granted in our workplace, such as:

* Safe temperatures in summer and winter, and adequate air quality
management.
* Adequate staffing levels to ensure that workers have the support they
need to do their job.
* A reasonable pace of work, with necessary rest breaks and reasonable
accommodations.

While the list of demands is basic, the implications of Amazon not meeting
these demands are literally life-and-death.

Courage members have a long history of standing with Amazon workers. We’ve
participated in Black Friday boycotts and helped workers on strike. Now,
it’s time for us to speak out again to ensure that Amazon does the bare
minimum to protect the health and safety of its workers.

workers Safety Bill of Rights!

Thank you for being in the fight!
