The Green Party is calling on the UK government to further support and celebrate the Windrush Generation and claim today as a celebration of migration. |

The Green Party recognises the huge contribution to UK society that the Windrush Generation has played since arriving in the UK on 22 June 1948. |

But 72 years later, since those first Windrush migrants from Jamaica, Bermuda, Trinidad and British Guiana landed in Tilbury, they and their descendants that helped to rebuild post-war Great Britain, still suffer discrimination. |

Whilst Windrush Day is an Observed Day, sign our petition telling the UK government that you stand with the Windrush Generation and ask for today to be a national bank holiday. |
