National tragedies. Poor wi-fi. No wi-fi. Times like these highlight the criticality of a great education. How can we be sure that our students are getting what they need? Let’s ask them! That’s the basis for a new YouTube contest from Center for Education Reform, in partnership with the Freedom Coalition for Charter Schools, the Children’s Scholarship Fund, and the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. Dubbed “With Justice for All” and hashtagged #MyEducationVideo, the contest asks students the following question: “How has your school delivered on the promise of equal access and educational excellence, particularly during these challenging times? Tell us how well your school did — or didn’t do — in providing you a great education.” Prizes include $45,000 in scholarships to the high school or college of your choice. So, if you’re a student, the world wants to hear from you. For details, visit MyEducationVideo.com. And hurry — submissions are due by July 24th! Founded in 1993, the Center for Education Reform (CER) aims to expand educational opportunities that lead to improved economic outcomes for all Americans — particularly our youth — ensuring that the conditions are ripe for innovation, freedom, and flexibility throughout U.S. education. |
