Previously, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution, focusing on Chinese national security decision-making and China-Africa relations. She also served as the China Analyst for International Crisis Group in Beijing and has spent over a decade advising policymakers on U.S.-China relations. Dr. Sun holds a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University.
