Dear Supporter,
The United Nations has said “NO” to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
After auditioning for a seat on the U.N. Security Council for years, Trudeau failed to be the pick of the litter last week in New York. He finished behind Ireland. And Norway.
We told the prime minister not to waste taxpayers’ money on this vanity project and we need your help to hammer that message home to make sure he doesn’t do it again.
Please take a minute to email Prime Minister Trudeau and tell him not to waste money chasing a UN Security Council seat again; here’s his email address: [email protected]
And would you mind doing us a favour? Please copy us on the email you're sending to the prime minister. If it’s funny (and we have your permission), we might just put it in the Taxpayer magazine or read it on the Canadian Taxpayer Podcast.
Our investigative reporter is filing stacks of access to information requests to find out exactly how much this latest bid to sit at the U.N. kids’ table has cost Canadians, but we do know that Canada gave the UN more than $76 million last year – and that was just for its regular budget.
Thank you for all that you do,
Sincerely,
- Aaron, Todd, Shannon and the whole CTF Team.
PS: Unlike the UN, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation doesn’t take any money from any government.
