Rubén Díaz Sr. must lose.

Hey John,

Tomorrow is Primary Day in New York! There’s only one more day to beat homophobe Rubén Díaz Sr. and elect Ritchie Torres as the first Afro-Latinx member of Congress – not to mention elect a huge rainbow wave of other LGBTQ candidates. Want to make history? Make a rush donation TODAY!

According to The New York Times, Díaz:

  • Said the New York City Council chamber was “controlled by the homosexual community”;
  • Said organizers of New York’s Gay Games were “guilty of promoting sin”;
  • Organized anti-marriage equality rallies;
  • Said he has not decided if he’ll vote for Donald Trump in 2020!

The spokesman of Bronx United said Díaz would be a “destructive voice and major distraction” in Congress. We can't let him win!

Right now, Ritchie Torres, who could be the first LGBTQ Afro-Latinx Member of Congress, is only two points behind and can pull off a win. Mondaire Jones, running to be the first openly LGBTQ Black member of Congress in American history and Kristin Browde, aiming to be New York’s first openly trans elected official EVER, also need our help. Make a rush donation today to help them win tomorrow!

Thanks again for helping us beat this bigot,

Geoff Bell

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
