The situation in Haiti has reached a breaking point and women and girls are bearing the brunt of ongoing hunger, displacement, and gang violence. The horrors and devastation that they endure daily demands urgent action and compassion from each of us.

[link removed]? [[link removed]?]In the words of Dr. Natalia Kanem , Executive Director of UNFPA, “We are at a point of no return. The humanitarian needs are enormous, and the situation for women and girls remains dire.”

Haiti is grappling with alarming levels of food insecurity, with nearly half of the population in need of urgent food assistance. This hunger crisis exacerbates vulnerabilities, making women and girls even more susceptible to violence and exploitation.

The continuous upheaval has led many to flee their homes, searching for safety but finding uncertainty.

Our teams on the ground are tirelessly working to provide essential support.

UNFPA is delivering reproductive health services and violence prevention programs to women and girls in Haiti and around the world. These efforts are crucial, as Dr. Kanem further emphasizes, “UNFPA is committed to supporting women and girls in Haiti, ensuring they have the health services they need and are protected from violence.”

However, the demand for aid increases every day, and we need your help to continue delivering lifesaving care. With your support, we can expand our reach so these vital services are accessible to those in desperate need, like Minouche , who was six months pregnant when four armed men violently assaulted her.

“I was able to find shelter and receive prenatal care thanks to UNFPA's support,” she told us. “ It gave me hope in a time of darkness.”

Without sufficient funding, humanitarian assistance in Haiti could become unsustainable. So please, will you stand by Haiti's women and girls today? Your contribution can provide food, shelter, and safety to those facing unimaginable challenges in Haiti and across the globe. [[link removed]?]
