John,
There is nothing beautiful about ripping away people's health care and kicking them off of food assistance programs. In a rush to appease their billionaire and corporate donors, Republicans passed their cruel budget bill that will hurt millions of people to pay for tax cuts for the rich. It also funds the Pentagon war machine and Trump’s racist mass deportation agenda.
This bill will result in at least 51,000 preventable deaths each year, and why? So that Republicans can hand their wealthy campaign contributors tax breaks they don’t need.
Greedy billionaires and massive corporations will get trillions of dollars in tax breaks, and our families will get their health care and food assistance cut. It’s shameful.
Millions will lose their health care. Millions will see their SNAP benefits cut, including seniors and children. And, for the first time, Congress is shifting some of the costs of SNAP nutrition benefits to the states, which will either result in massive holes in state budgets or waiting lists for families who rely on these critical benefits to keep food on the table.
This bill is also abusive to our immigrant neighbors. It invests $170 billion in Trump’s deportation policies, which include masked ICE agents kidnapping people off the streets. In fact, this investment in ICE will make ICE the largest law enforcement unit in the country.
We will never stop working to hold this administration accountable. And, we will continue to remind the voters that this bill intentionally harms vulnerable communities to needlessly increase the wealth of the very richest Americans.
Donate today to power our work to demand an economy and a society that puts our communities first, not the billionaires and their big, beautiful tax breaks.

There is nothing patriotic about kicking people off of their health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. We will never stop fighting back against this corruption.
Always serving you,
Rashida
