"Republican caught on hot mic complaining about Dem saying corporations get bailouts when people don't" - The Raw Story

During a Senate Banking Committee meeting, a Republican senator called Sherrod "shameless" for demanding justice for workers and for Black and brown Americans.

Sherrod was highlighting an egregious double standard: Our government is more than willing to intervene in our economy to bail out corporations and the wealthy but it won't step in to invest in Black and brown Americans who have been systematically denied opportunity.

POLL:

Should the government intervene in the economy to help corporations, the wealthy, and the privileged OR should it help the Americans who make our country work?

[CORPORATIONS] [WORKERS]

That's not shameless, and Sherrod did what any person in a position of power should do: identify and call out injustices wherever, whenever they appear.

Thanks,

Team Sherrod
