***EVENT EXTENDED TO 12th JULY DUE TO POPULARITY***

Dear John,

I am very pleased to announce that we have extended our Freedom Champion drive, giving everyone an extra week to take advantage of the sign-up welcome pack!

Twelve people have joined us so far, will you help us reach the twenty we need?

Your donations will help fund our investigations and all that is involved -from travel costs, equipment, accommodation, reporting, and video production, to the outreach needed to expose suffering and cruelty.

I also wanted to share some incredible and heart warming news with you.

A sea turtle, named Jorge and aged 60 years, has successfully been released to the wild - after four decades in captivity!!!

This is truly remarkable and can now become a success story in calling for other animals in captivity to be released.

Our investigations into aquariums highlight just how much turtles suffer in captivity, with instances of repetitive circling and constant fin-tapping against the walls of their tanks, both of which are classic signs of psychological distress in these animals.

Jorge being released to the wild in April 2025 after four decades in captivity!
He has already swum over 1,700 miles in the open oceans, heading north from his release site towards Brazil, where he first hatched 60 years ago!
We will be using Jorge's story to reignite calls for Lulu and her tank mate Gulliver to be released from their so called home in Sea Life Brighton.

We have been calling for this for many years, along with our friends at Close Sealife, but have been told time and time again that it would not be possible as she is too old and has lived in captivity for too long.

But Jorge has proved this wrong! So Sea Life, it is time you take action! We owe it to her to try! She deserves her freedom!

If you can, please join Close Sealife ([link removed]) outside Sealife Brighton on 12th July from 11am.
MORE ON JORGE'S REMARKABLE STORY HERE ([link removed])

The release of Jorge came about because of a campaign led by a petition, which got lawyers involved in calling for his release. This just shows the power of people, the need for us to come together and what we can achieve when we do!

Please join us as our newest Freedom Champion before 12th July. And don't forget, you will receive our sign-up welcome pack PLUS a Freedom for Animals t-shirt!

We are so grateful to everyone for your support, whether that is through signing our online actions, attending demonstrations, or by donating to keep our investigations and campaigns alive! Thank you!

Until all are free,
