John,

When we think of the Fourth of July and America, we picture fireworks, the Statue of Liberty, and the melting pot of cultures. The American Dream has drawn generations of people to this country, yet right now, the Trump administration is waging a cruel campaign against the very people who have followed this dream and shaped America.

Here in New York, we’re standing up.

Immigrants are at the heart of our state's history, culture, and economy. From Ellis Island to the skyscrapers that define our skyline, immigrants are the builders, dreamers, and workers that shape who we are.

In a time of division and fear, New Yorkers can share the true story: our communities and economy are stronger and safer when we stand united together with immigrants.
Take the Pledge: I Stand with Immigrants ♥️ ([link removed])

Every New Yorker deserves to feel safe in our community, regardless of immigration status. Community safety is strongest when we rely on one another - neighborhoods watching out for their neighbors, residents building trust with each other. When immigrants can fully participate in community life without fear, everyone benefits.

No matter what this administration throws our way, we’ll protect our neighbors, our families, and our values. Because when we stand united, no one can tear us apart. It is time all of our communities thrive once and for all.

In power,

Murad Awawdeh
President and CEO
