This Independence Day: Let Freedom Ring Again
Dear John,
As we celebrate the Fourth of July, we remember that our nation was founded on an unshakable belief—that our rights are given by God, not government.
The Declaration of Independence boldly proclaims that all men are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” This truth, rooted in Scripture, lit the flame of liberty that has guided America for nearly 250 years.
When our Founders declared independence, they weren’t merely launching a political revolution. They were standing on the shoulders of a spiritual one. The First Great Awakening swept across the colonies in the decades before 1776, stirring hearts toward repentance and personal responsibility, and planting the seeds of liberty that would later bloom into the American Revolution. That move of God gave birth to a nation. Today, we believe God is doing it again.
But freedom is not self-sustaining. It must be guarded by a people who know the truth and live it courageously. That’s why at Truth & Liberty, we are committed to equipping believers to engage the culture, defend biblical values, and stand for the principles that made this nation exceptional.
This Independence Day, let’s do more than enjoy fireworks and family. Let’s recommit ourselves to prayer, action, and unwavering trust in the God who sets people free.
Let freedom ring—on earth as it is in Heaven.
