I hope you’re celebrating today with friends and family in the good weather, and remember what this day is about: celebrating our independence from kings and dictators.

Those values still stand, even 250 years later. Today, we have a President who tries to think, act, and operate like a king – and it’s our job to not let that become normalized.

I won’t go on too much – I know you’re all trying to enjoy your holiday! But just know that here at IDCCA, we take our responsibilities of protecting our democracy and freedoms seriously.
