Today, I'm reflecting on what it means to serve this country.
I think about nurses like my mom who care for the sick. I think about Veterans and law enforcement officers like my dad who keep us safe. I think about teachers like Señora Green, my high school Spanish teacher, who give the next generation of leaders the confidence to chase their dreams.
On this Independence Day, I commit to that true idea of public service: putting what's best for all Virginians first.
I commit to calling out the threat to our communities and our Commonwealth.
I commit to governing — not grandstanding.
I commit to honoring the generations of Americans who fought and died for us to have more opportunities — not disgracing them by taking those hard-won freedoms away.
I'm running for Governor because I believe in the strength of our Commonwealth, the resilience of our democracy, and the power of service. I intend to bring people together to solve big problems, and I'm inspired by the countless Virginians who do just that each and every day.
Now, if any of this resonates with you, I'd welcome your support in this campaign. As I've learned over the years, the most important missions in life tend to be hard, but they're much easier when you have a strong team behind you.
