Fellow activist,
Today, on Independence Day, we are using this holiday to reflect on where we are in this moment as we continue to see attacks on our rights and freedoms. In the birthplace of American Democracy, we are navigating a new reality – where our democracy is under threat, our rights are being stripped away, and our courts are being politicized like never before.
We are only a few months away from critical local, municipal, and judicial elections, and more than ever, we cannot afford to take our freedoms for granted. With the increased attacks from the Trump regime on voting rights, abortion access, climate responsibility, immigration, and much more, our courts in Pennsylvania will be critical to preserving and defending our freedoms for generations to come.
That is why we must continue to engage, mobilize voters, and expand the Pennsylvania electorate, centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities, and the youth (17-34-year-olds).
Thank you for joining us in this moment,
Team NPP
Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
