Happy Independence Day, Minnesota!
 Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors this Independence Day, I hope you'll take a moment to reflect on the incredible gift of freedom we enjoy as Americans.
July 4th isn’t just a celebration—it’s a reminder of the courage it took to build this country from the ground up. The signers of the Declaration of Independence risked everything to stand for what was right: that our rights don’t come from government—they come from God. That belief remains the cornerstone of our Republic, and it’s worth protecting.
This holiday, I’m especially grateful for the people who continue that legacy of service: the men and women in uniform, our veterans, our first responders, and the everyday citizens who lead, volunteer, and lend a hand in our communities. Freedom is not maintained by one act of bravery—it’s carried on by the steady work of people who love this country and live out its values each day.
Whether you’re enjoying a backyard BBQ, attending a small-town parade, or watching fireworks with your kids, I hope this day fills you with pride in our great state and deep appreciation for the country we’re blessed to call home.
May we never lose sight of the blessings we’ve been given—and may we always strive to leave this nation stronger for the next generation.
Happy Independence Day, and may God bless America!
Sincerely,
Representative Nathan Nelson
Minnesota House of Representatives, District 11B
