Neghat
A message from Council Leader, Councillor Neghat Khan

This week, our city lost a much-loved figure. Everyone at Nottingham City Council is devastated to hear of the passing of Tim, Nottingham’s longstanding Robin Hood.

Tim proudly represented the spirit of Nottingham - from community events to civic moments like the reopening of Nottingham Castle in 2023. More than a symbol, he was a warm, kind man with a big heart and a smile to match. He’ll be truly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

In June, I was delighted to see plans for the City Ground get the green light for future development. Forest are a huge asset to Nottingham and we look forward to working with the club as plans progress. We’re also wishing the Lionesses the best of luck as they kick off their Euros campaign this weekend. Come on England! ⚽
