John King for U.S. Senate Today marks 249 years since our Founding Fathers
risked everything to declare America’s independence and the start of a nation
founded on freedom.
Fellow Conservative,
Today marks 249 years since our Founding Fathers risked everything to declare
America’s independence and the start of a nation founded on freedom. We
remember them and we remember the sacrifices of so many others to keep it that
way.
My story is only possible in this country. I came here when I was 17,
enlisted as a private and retired as a major general. I’m grateful for the
soldiers I served with and for having the chance to give back to the country
that’s given me so much.
As you celebrate today, I hope you’ll remember the courage and sacrifice it
took to build America, and the charge we all have to leave it better than we
found it.
It’s like President Reagan said: "Freedom is never more than one generation
away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream.
The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it,
protect it, defend it, and then hand it on to them with the well fought lesson
of how they in their lifetime must do the same."
Have a safe and happy Independence Day,
John King
General John King is a soldier, lawman, and the first Hispanic elected
statewide in Georgia history. He’s running for the Senate now because Georgians
need a leader who will fight for them, fight for President Trump’s agenda, and
put America First.
