Dear friends,

As we gather with family and friends this week to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks in the sky and flags waving proudly it’s worth pausing to remember why this day matters.

On July 4, 1776, a group of bold patriots signed their names to a declaration that would change the course of history. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the cause of liberty. They believed that freedom was worth fighting for—and they risked everything to secure it.

Nearly 250 years later, we still benefit from that courageous decision.

The Fourth of July isn’t just a holiday or a long weekend; it’s a reminder of who we are. A people rooted in the belief that our rights come from God, not government. A nation built on the idea that all men are created equal and endowed with unalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

These ideals remain powerful today, even in a time of division and doubt. Because America’s greatness has never been about perfection, but about the constant striving toward a more perfect union.

We celebrate not only our independence from tyranny but our continued responsibility to safeguard it. Every generation has faced challenges to freedom, and every generation has risen to defend it. Today is no different.

This 4th of July, let us renew our gratitude for the blessings of this country and our resolve to preserve them. The American story isn’t finished. It’s being written every day by citizens who cherish liberty, defend truth, and honor the sacrifices of those who came before us.

May God bless you, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.
