This day reminds me why I serve and why we must never give up  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Patriot,

Every time I see the American flag waving on Independence Day, I think about the men and women who stood up against a king and declared that we were free.

They knew the cost. They faced the fire. And they chose liberty anyway.

That same spirit brought me to enlist in the Army. It’s what gave me the strength to walk again after I lost both legs in combat. And it’s what drives me every day to keep serving this country we love.

Independence Day isn’t just about fireworks and parades. It’s about resolve.

The resolve to keep fighting for what’s right. The resolve to protect our freedoms—not just with words but with action.

Today, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on what it means to be an American.

We’re in a fight for the soul of this country, and I’m honored to stand beside you.

Happy Independence Day, and thank you for always having our country’s six.

For America,
Brian Mast
