Republicans have passed a bill that will be a death sentence—denying millions of people medical care, denying children food, and violently deporting immigrant families to destabilized countries.
This is unforgivable.
This godless, reckless bill is a betrayal of our working families, our veterans, our seniors, our disabled, our children, and future generations.
I’ve been emotional thinking of the devastating impact this cruelty will have on Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and the Children's Health Insurance program.
And the reality is people are going to die because of this.
But let me also say: I remain yours in service.
And I will keep doing everything I can to fight—for the people of MA-07—and everyone who calls this country home. I will never stop fighting for you.
It's a somber day, but I still believe in the promise of this nation. In sharp contrast with what we saw on the House floor today, I believe in the possibility that our government can do right by people and help us through our most vulnerable moments.
A more just America is possible. In this with you always.
