John,

Did your legislators vote to protect your health and the environment? WCV’s scorecard is here and we have the answers!

Every two years, Washington Conservation Voters releases the legislative scorecard, grading state legislators on how they voted.

This 2017-2018 scorecard captures the stark difference in Senate leadership over the last two years. You and I know that elections have real consequences, and new Senate leadership during the 2018 legislative session provides hope for our future.

From removing toxins in our food supply and oil spill prevention to energy efficiency in homes and businesses, the bills we worked together to pass in 2018 show first-hand what we can do when we elect leaders ready to take action.

Despite the powerful influence of polluters – the oil and chemical industries among others – top environmental priorities garnered bipartisan support. Regardless of party affiliation, a majority of Washingtonians support progress on the environment. We have more work to do, and we need leaders committed to clean air and clean water for all.

By joining the WCV team, you’re winning elections for the environment, holding our elected leaders accountable, and providing strategy and focus for Washington’s environmental community.

So make sure to check out WCV’s Scorecard [[link removed]] - and let your legislators know you did. Thank them for putting the health and the future of Washingtonians first if they scored well. If any of your legislators scored poorly, urge them to step up and protect this place we call home.

WCV will always work to hold our elected officials accountable and ensure they reflect the values all Washingtonians share for clean healthy communities and a protected environment.

Welcome to the WCV team,

Shannon Murphy
