John,
Early voting is now open for Saint Paul’s Ward 4 special election! Election Day is August 12, and you can cast your vote by mail or in-person through August 11.
There are four candidates running to replace Councilwoman Mitra Jalali, who stepped down earlier this year. See our website to learn more about those running!

You can also learn more about the candidates at one of the three upcoming candidate forums:
* Forum on Housing and Immigration with the St. Anthony Park Community Council [[link removed]] on July 17 at 5:30pm
* Forum with the Saint Paul League of Women Voters [[link removed]] on July 22 at 7:00pm
* Forum with DFL Senate District Committees 64 and 66 [[link removed]] on July 30 at 7:00pm
Early voting will be available in-person at the Plato Building (90 W. Plato Blvd, Saint Paul) on weekdays through August 8, from 8:00am to 4:30pm, in addition to Saturday, August 9 from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Monday, August 11 from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Early voting is also available by mail. To get a mail ballot, voters must complete this form [[link removed]] and return it to the Ramsey County Elections office in the Plato Building.
There are four candidates in this race, making it a great use-case for RCV! In Saint Paul, you are able to rank up to six choices—so be sure to maximize the power of your ballot by ranking as many candidates as you can!
If you are not already registered, you can pre-register online [[link removed]] or in-person at the Plato Building until July 22. Or, you can register at your polling location on Election Day with valid ID [[link removed]] . Don’t forget, you are entitled to time off work to vote and you are able to vote with a felony conviction if you are not incarcerated.
Thank you for voting and please email us at [email protected] [[email protected]] if you have any questions or need additional assistance.
