Friend,
As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, I want to take a moment to reflect on the state of our nation and all the work we have left to do.
At a time when we are meant to celebrate our shared values of freedom, liberty, and opportunity for all of us, Republicans in Congress are working overtime to rip away Coloradans’ health care, sell off our public lands, jack up energy costs, and saddle future generations with trillions in debt all to serve the wealthiest few.
That’s not the America I believe in.
As an Army ranger, I stepped up to serve our nation. I served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan — and learned a lot about servant leadership, working under pressure, and the value of selfless service to others.
From the halls of Congress, to the Armed Forces, to the streets of our communities, we are all tasked with renewing our commitment to defending our republic and everyone who lives here — no matter their background — and creating a country where we all have a fair shot at success.
Independence Day is not just a celebration of our nation’s birth, but a testament to the enduring strength of the shared values that bind us together.
The work isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. Together, we can build an America where our differences unite us, where hard work is rewarded, and where we can forge the path to a brighter tomorrow.
Can you make a donation now to help me keep fighting to build a nation for all of us in this critical moment?
