‌‌Johh‌,

What I’ve witnessed in Congress these past few weeks has left me heartbroken and deeply unsettled — and extremely angry. Donald Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” just passed the House, and it’s on its way to his desk.

This legislation is a direct assault on the values we hold as Americans and on the people we’re supposed to serve. If you are as outraged as I am, let's take our devastation and channel it into action. Make a donation to help me as I work to take back the House in 2026 >> [link removed]

This bill slashes Medicaid and rips health care away from 16 million Americans. It takes food off the tables of children, families, and seniors. It opens the door to a national abortion ban. On top of all the pain it inflicts, it also manages to add $4 trillion to the national debt — just to hand billionaires yet another tax break they don’t need.

I’ve asked myself over and over: Why would anyone vote for this? Why would anyone choose to hurt the very people they were elected to represent?

In Colorado alone, nearly a quarter of a million people could lose their health coverage because of this bill. Lives will be upended, and yet, the House GOP prioritized the whims of Donald Trump over the well-being of their own constituents. They should be ashamed.

I voted no and spoke out every step of the way because I believe our government should work for the people, not for the wealthy few.

The damage this bill will cause is real, but it is not irreversible. If we take back the House in 2026, we can begin the hard work of repairing the harm and putting power back where it belongs — in the hands of the people.

I don’t say this lightly: I need your help. We all do. If you’re angry and ready to fight back, I’m asking you to make a contribution today. Every dollar will help me work toward taking back the House and holding those responsible for this cruelty accountable >> [link removed]

Thank you for being in this fight with me,
