Dear John,

At approximately 2:30 p.m. EDT and on the eve of the 249th celebration of our nation’s independence, the U.S. House of Representatives, in a vote of 218-214, passed Trump’s devasting domestic policy agenda. The bill will be signed into law at a White House signing ceremony tomorrow—July 4.

We will provide more analysis of the impact of this legislation next week. In the meantime, here is a summary of the bill provided to us by our friends at National Immigration Law Center (and some of their partners).

In the face of this full-on attack on the civil and human rights of millions of folks in this country, we must not lose sight of the fact that Freedom is always worth fighting for!
