Dear Friend,

I never thought I’d be writing an email like this.

I never imagined I’d be asking strangers to help me save my husband from going
to prison.

But here we are.

Will you donate to help appeal my husband’s wrongful conviction?

My name is Jennifer Finnerty.

My husband, Sergeant Dave Finnerty, has spent his life serving others. He’s a
proud U.S. military veteran. A decorated police officer. A man of faith and
integrity. A father who never missed a soccer game or school play. The kind of
man who runs toward danger while others run away.

And now, because he told the truth, he’s facing years in federal prison.

Let me tell you what happened—because you deserve to know the truth.

In 2018, Dave had just been promoted to a supervisory role in the MBTA Transit
Police in Boston. It was his very first night in that role, filling in for two
lieutenants. No formal training. No notice. No backup.

That same night, an officer Dave didn’t know and wasn’t supervising used force
during an arrest—miles away from where Dave was posted.

He wasn’t there. He didn’t see it. But when he learned what had happened, he
took it seriously. Dave raised concerns. He submitted a written report. He made
sure his superiors knew.

He did exactly what he was supposed to do.

And that’s when everything began to fall apart.

A progressive District Attorney named Rachel Rollins, backed by George Soros,
targeted Dave for prosecution. She accused him of covering up a crime he had
already flagged himself.

Why? Because Dave didn’t stay quiet. Because he challenged a system that
demanded silence.

They came after him—not because he did something wrong, but because he had the
courage to do what was right.

The ordeal that followed nearly destroyed our family.

For four years, we lived under the weight of false accusations.

We drained our savings. Lost our stability. Put our children’s future on hold.
Dave was suspended without pay and struggled with chronic service-related
injuries from his time in the military.

And then—finally—truth began to win out.

Just before trial, new evidence came to light. The new District Attorney
admitted that Dave wasn’t the source of the false information.

The state dropped all charges. We breathed for the first time in years.

But our relief was short-lived.

Despite everything—despite the dismissal, despite the DA’s admission, despite
the collapse of the case—the Biden Department of Justice stepped in and
re-filed the charges.

Same basic accusation. Just a new courtroom and a bigger hammer.

Why? Because Rollins, who resigned in disgrace for ethics violations and
election interference, still wanted a conviction. And the DOJ gave her one.

Now, my husband has been convicted in federal court.

Convicted for telling the truth. For blowing the whistle. For following the
rules.

We are heartbroken. We are exhausted. But we are not giving up.

With the help of the National Center for Police Defense, we are launching a
full appeal to clear Dave’s name once and for all.

But we cannot do it without you.

Please, make a donation right now to help appeal Dave’s conviction.

We’ve already lost everything—his pension, our savings, our security. What we
haven’t lost is our faith in justice… and in people like you who still believe
in doing what’s right.

If you can help, please do. Every donation brings us closer to the truth.
Closer to freedom. Closer to the day my kids get to see their father vindicated.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you, from the bottom of
my heart, for standing with us in our fight.

With deep gratitude,

Jennifer Finnerty
Wife of Sgt. Dave Finnerty
