Today, I voted no on the GOP’s reckless budget bill. Here’s why:
The nonpartisan CBO says this bill will rip healthcare away from millions of Americans — while adding trillions to the national debt. Everyday costs will go up, rural hospitals will shut their doors, and more families will be left hungry.
And for what? To pay for another giant tax break for the ultra-wealthy.
I can’t, in good conscience, support legislation that puts corporate interests and billionaires over working people. I will always stand up for what’s right for the people of Maine’s Second District — and today, that meant standing my ground and voting no.
But here’s the truth: if we want to stop bills like this from becoming law, we need to flip the House. ME-02 is going to be one of the most competitive races in the country — and I need your help to keep up the fight in Washington.
