Earlier this week, Senate Republicans passed a cruel, destructive bill targeted at the most vulnerable Americans. Today, after an all night debate, House Republicans did the same.

This Big, Bad Bill gives tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy and leaves middle class families with fewer options and fewer resources. No wonder it's wildly unpopular. A majority of Americans, regardless of political party, believe it will hurt, not help, them and their families.

And they're right.

This bill does nothing to lower costs for Oregonians and Americans. What it will do is kick millions off Medicaid, slash funding for hungry kids, exacerbate inequality, decimate the renewable energy industry, make it harder to go to college, and make the U.S. less competitive.

What do Republican leaders like Mitch McConnell have to say to worried families? "They'll get over it." Outrageously, Vice President J.D. Vance said the Medicaid cuts are "immaterial."

Who stands up for their constituents? Every single House Democrat we all voted no on this reckless bill. And every Republican who voted to take Medicaid, food assistance, and more from working families, children, pregnant women, seniors, and veterans will have to answer to their constituents both now and next November.

Thank you for standing with me,

Suzanne
