We need to ensure every voter knows Republicans threw them under the bus with this budget.

Justice Democrats

They did it, John.

Republicans barely but successfully passed their budget bill in both the Senate and now the House, sending it to Donald Trump’s desk for signature.

This is the largest wealth transfer in history from poor and working-class people to millionaires and billionaires.

It will throw more than 16 million people off their health insurance, cut $1 trillion from Medicaid which will in turn shutter many nursing homes and rural hospitals, take nutrition assistance away from hungry kids and families who need it, eliminate hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs while jeopardizing billions of dollars in wind and solar energy investments, cut Pell Grants for millions of students pursuing higher education, and more.

All to reward the already ultra-wealthy and dump billions of dollars into ICE’s secret police to further terrorize our communities.

According to Republicans, it’s okay to add $4 trillion to the national debt as long as that money is being funneled to the wealthy and our increasingly militarized police state — but forget about our tax dollars being used to actually help the public!

To make matters worse, Republicans have strategically made it so many of these cuts won’t take effect until AFTER the 2026 midterm elections.

That way, people won’t feel the impact until it’s too late to make their voices heard at the ballot box, after their Republican members have already won re-election.

This budget is a disgrace, and the Democratic Party needs to spend the next year making sure that every single voter knows how their Republican representatives threw them under the bus.

Justice Democrats is actively recruiting and supporting working-class, progressive candidates to challenge BOTH Republican and Do-Nothing Democratic incumbents, so we can take back Congress and start putting working people first.

Today is a sad day for the American people, but our fight is far from over.
