Hi there,

Today, I voted NO on the budget bill. Let me explain why.

It’s certainly big, more than 900 pages, but it’s anything but beautiful. I am voting no because of three major issues:

  1. It unnecessarily gives tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans,
  2. It cuts health insurance and food for some of the neediest Americans,
  3. It explodes the deficit, bringing it to nearly $3.4 trillion, the largest in our nation’s history.

As always, I’ll keep you updated about what I’m doing in Washington to fight for you. We’ve got to work together to move America to a better place.
