============================

Congress has just voted through devastating cuts to Medicaid that will rip healthcare away from millions of families, to support billionaire tax breaks and funding for mass deportations as a part of the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement agenda.

Let’s talk clearly about what this means: children will struggle to breathe because their families can’t afford asthma treatments; someone's beloved grandmother will be taken from her community and deported far away; and thousands of dedicated domestic workers will lose their livelihoods overnight.

Today, our hearts are heavy. We fought tirelessly, standing shoulder-to-shoulder at vigils, rallies, and lobbying blitzes. Now, it’s time to turn our grief and outrage into powerful action.

We are mobilizing to hold accountable every lawmaker who chose cruelty over compassion. In just a few weeks, our massive Protect Medicaid Mobilizations will send an undeniable message: these heartless cuts will have consequences.

Will you join us? Sign up right now to support the Protect Medicaid Mobilization and show lawmakers that we refuse to accept the cruel cuts to Medicaid quietly. [[link removed]]

Medicaid is used to pay for 70% of home care and is often care workers’ only pathway to affordable, quality care for themselves. These massive cuts are going to have a ripple effect throughout our communities – countless care workers will lose their jobs and their healthcare – all so immigration receives supercharged funding for ICE raids in our communities.

This decision will disproportionately impact communities that have already faced generations of neglect and underinvestment: immigrant workers, people of color, and those living in poverty will bear the brunt of these devastating cuts.

The Protect Medicaid Mobilization is our promise to lawmakers: you cannot harm our families without facing our collective power.

Our community of domestic workers and their strongest advocates – you – is strong, resilient, and fiercely dedicated to protecting one another. By joining forces now, we’ll show lawmakers that we refuse to accept this cruelty quietly!

Sign up to join the Protect Medicaid Mobilizations today and let’s send an unequivocal message that we refuse to accept the cruel cuts to Medicaid quietly. [[link removed]]

On this hard day, as always, thanks for all you do,

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
