Hinson's Opponent Drops Out
In April, the Democrats' House campaign committee putWFW AF-backed Rep. Ashley Hinson (IA-02) on their list of 35 GOP targets for the cycle. As of Monday, they have no one to run against her. Democrat Kevin Techau cited "poor fundraising" in a statement suspending his campaign juts two months after it launched.
Fundraising For GOP Women
Last Monday, the leadership of Winning For Women Action Fund was thrilled to host our annual kickoff reception to benefit WFW AF-backed incumbents in the House and Senate. Nearly $600,000 in hard dollars will go directly to these women's campaigns.

Senator Lara Trump?
All eyes are on former RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump following Sen. Thom Tillis' (R-NC) announcement that he won't be seeking re-election next year. The battle for North Carolina's Senate seat is expected to be one of the most expensive and competitive races of the cycle as Democrats look to regain control of a seat they lost back in 2014.
Should Lara Trump run and be elected, she would be the second Republican woman (after Elizabeth Dole) and third woman in the state's history to serve in the U.S. Senate. President Trumptold reporters yesterday that she would be a "great" choice, and we agree. We will be watching closely as the race develops.
