I hope you’re getting ready to enjoy the holiday weekend.

I'm writing because while many of us get a break, Congress is locked in on the so-called Big, Beautiful Bill — and it’s bad.

Here’s where we’re at:

The Senate moved the bill to the House before the holiday weekend.

If this passes, 2,368,466 Californians are at risk of losing health care coverage.

That’s not just a number — it’s neighbors, friends, families, people who depend on that coverage.

So, where's our representative during all this?

Back in his home in Washington, D.C., away from the district and the people he’s supposed to serve.

This isn’t the time for politics as usual. Our community deserves bold leadership, the kind that shows up, fights unapologetically, and refuses to let millions lose health care.
