This was the very first piece of legislation I had signed into law.

Friend,

The Military Family Education Program, also known as the PA GI Bill, was the very first piece of legislation I had signed into law by former Governor Tom Wolf.

I was incredibly proud to give back to our servicemembers and their families by supporting their education. Since then, I’ve listened to their feedback and committed to making improvements to the programs to better serve them.

That’s why I’m proud to share that the legislation I’ve championed to improve the PA GI Bill has passed unanimously out of the Senate and the House. When Guard members reenlist, they’ll now be able to continue using this program. And if they’re honorably discharged early, they’ll still receive proportional benefits.

Now, this bill is headed to Governor Shapiro’s desk for his signature. If you believe that this legislation is important, will you add your name here?

I’ll keep fighting for working people, for families, and for those who serve — and this bill is a critical step in that fight.

Thank you,

Lindsey Williams
