John, Independence Day is tomorrow, and I’ve been reflecting on what this holiday truly means for us in this moment. It's a celebration of our shared values: freedom, equality, and democracy.
In Congress, I'm committed to ensuring these values aren't just ideals, but realities for all. Every voice deserves to be heard, and every vote counted. Our democracy is something we must work actively to strengthen and protect, especially now. It’s a centuries long experiment.
We’re facing attacks from the Trump administration as they try to take more power and undermine our democratic processes. And it’s up to us to hold the line. Whether it’s advocating for fair voting laws or our constitutional rights, or standing against divisive rhetoric, it is going to take all of us standing up together.
We must all commit to a future where our democracy can thrive. A future where voting rights are protected and democratic institutions are strengthened. And a future with absolutely NO kings.
So I’m asking, John, will you sign on to renew your commitment to our democracy this Independence Day?
Thank you for taking meaningful action to ensure that the promise of our democracy is fulfilled for everyone.
