Donald Trump’s presidency has been defined by chaos, destruction, and abuse of power. That’s why I introduced the Stop Trump’s Abuse of Power Act – a bill to block the president from deploying active-duty troops on U.S. soil without consent from state or local leaders.

We are a nation of laws. And frankly, Trump needs a reminder.

He should not be allowed to send Marines into American cities without approval from governors or local officials. This kind of power grab cannot go unchecked. I’m going to stand up, speak out, and continue to force these hard conversations – no matter how tough they get.

This is about more than one incident, team. It’s about reestablishing the rule of law – and making sure no president, Democrat or Republican, uses the military for their own personal political gain.

I’m proud to lead this fight. And I’m proud to do it as a lifelong Michigander – raised on hard work, grease, and grit – not cheap political stunts.

But here’s the truth, friend: I’m running in one of the most competitive Senate races in the country, and experts agree that Michigan could decide who controls the Senate. The stakes are high – and standing up to Trump makes me an even bigger target for the GOP.
