Happy (almost) Independence Day, friend!

We didn’t want to bother you during tomorrow’s holiday, so we’re reaching out now. This Fourth of July, as Virginians celebrate with fireworks, family, and great food, the team at DPVA is honoring Virginia’s long legacy of defiance.

The No Kings movement we saw just last month echoes our state’s history: From the earliest calls for independence as one of the thirteen original colonies, to the fight for our democracy in 2025, Virginia has always been at the forefront of the fight for liberty — and we plan to defend that legacy in November.

As one of just four Commonwealths — and carrying the motto Sic Semper Tyrannis — we know that government should be rooted in the will of the people. This isn’t rhetoric, friend — this is generational work, and it’s just as important today as it was 249 years ago.
