Dear Illinois Republicans,
We celebrate America every day—and we truly believe her best days are still ahead. As we mark the Fourth of July, it’s about more than fireworks and flag-waving. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the blessings of freedom—and to remember why America is worth celebrating and defending every single day.
For the Salvi family, America has always been a land of promise, opportunity, and purpose. Through hard work, faith, service, and love, we created a life rooted in the values that make this country great: liberty, personal responsibility, and the belief that each generation should strive to do better for the next
America gave me the opportunity to pursue an education, raise a strong family, and serve my community. As Al often says, only in this country can someone build a law practice, serve as a State Representative, help shape public policy—and still come home each night to simply be 'Dad.' His proudest moments are watching our children pass down the values we instilled in them to our grandchildren.
To us, the American Dream isn’t a slogan—it’s real. It means knowing that hard work and faith can overcome barriers. It means believing that your voice matters, whether you're standing in the halls of Congress or sitting around a kitchen table in the suburbs or working on the farms. And it means that every day—not just on the Fourth—we must protect and preserve what makes America exceptional.
This Independence Day, let’s do more than celebrate. Let’s speak up for the values that unite us. And let’s work each day to ensure that the promise of America remains strong—for every family, in every corner of this great country.
America is worth fighting for. Her best days are still ahead—and together, we’ll help lead the way to turn our beloved Illinois around.
