SDPD is increasing parking enforcement in our beach communities, including overnight vehicle occupancy (OVO) violations. Everyone deserves equal public access to beach and bay parking, and violations of overnight parking laws will be addressed. Thank you, SDPD Northern Division and Neighborhood Policing, for your efforts.

BUILDING COMMUNITY

📢 Calling all non-profits: City Council fought to maintain CPPS funding in the FY26 budget. This vital resource supports the arts, uplifts underserved communities, and strengthens local non-profits. Applications open on Monday, July 7.

FOURTH OF JULY REMINDERS

In observance of Independence Day, all City of San Diego administrative offices, libraries, recreation centers, and pools will be closed on July 4. Parking meter enforcement, street sweeping, and curbside waste collection will also be suspended for the holiday. Most parks, reservoirs, and public safety services will remain in operation.

As you celebrate the long weekend, SDPD and SD Fire-Rescue are ensuring a safe and enjoyable holiday for all. With large crowds expected, we encourage everyone to be aware of and follow beach and boating safety guidelines. Please also keep our coastline clean by using the extra trash and recycling bins provided by the Clean Beach Coalition.
