CR-101 Preproposal Statement Inquiry

Rulemaking based on HB 1142 (Chapter 18, Laws of 2025). Creating two new WAC sections regarding basic training for Spouses or Domestic Partners providing Long-Term Care services only for their Spouse or Domestic partner WAC 388-71-0897: “Who must complete the 21-hour basic training and by when must it be completed?” WAC 388-71-0899: “What is the 21-hour training?" Eliminating the language “individual provider” and replacing with Long Term Care worker (where appropriate and required). Eliminating other references to “spouses or domestic partners receiving approved services funded through the United States Department of Veterans' Affairs home and community-based programs” so that all spouses are shown to be required the same training. Filed as WSR 25-14-066 on June 27, 2025.
