Fighting back is not just about saying who failed us, it’s about saying how we’re going to fix this system that has badly failed so many Americans.

John,

First I was in San Antonio,

Beto O'Rourke speaking to a full auditorium in San Antonio.

then Laredo,

next Tyler,

and most recently, Beaumont.

Over the past few days, I’ve had the chance to travel across Texas again, holding town halls where Texans showed up — not just to listen, but to be heard.

They shared what they were going through: The man fighting for teachers attacked by Greg Abbott’s voucher bill; the mother of three young children, terrified that her daughter doesn’t have rights to her own body; the mental health worker looking to protect community health services that are on the chopping block. And that’s just to name a few.

That’s the impact of a town hall. These aren’t soundbites or press releases — they’re real people with real stakes in what happens next. It moves you. It compels you to act.

And what I’ve seen is that more and more people are acting. They’re not waiting for permission, or for the perfect plan. They’re stepping up where the political establishment has too often stepped back, whether it be running for school board, registering voters in their neighborhood, or hosting organizing meetings in their living rooms.

These people didn’t show up because they support a political party or a candidate. They showed up because they support the United States of America and won’t sit by just watching the corruption in the Oval Office unfold.

We’re building a movement, the broadest coalition possible — people who know that we can’t afford to wait until 2026, and are ready to do the work necessary for a better future now.

If you’re able, I’m asking you to chip in $3 right now to Powered by People to help keep me on the road hosting more town halls. Every donation makes a difference.
