RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE
AND LEGACY OF COACH TRAVIS PRIDE
WHEREAS, we honor the remarkable life and legacy of Coach Travis Pride, a man of deep faith, unwavering integrity, and selfless leadership — whose influence continues to shape the lives of students, colleagues, and families throughout Tarrant County; and
WHEREAS, for nearly a decade at Byron Nelson High School, Coach Pride led with heart and humility, building one of the top 6A football programs in the DFW area while fostering a culture of excellence and respect; and
WHEREAS, his impact extended far beyond the field, as a trusted mentor, role model, and advocate for all students, always putting other people first; and
WHEREAS, his decades of coaching, including roles at Wichita Falls High School, Mansfield Summit High School, and state championship teams at Southlake Carroll High School, reflect a career rooted in distinction, purpose, and service; and
WHEREAS, Coach Pride lived out his Christian faith daily, modeling servant leadership and leaving a lasting imprint on all who knew him; and
WHEREAS, he is lovingly remembered by his wife Kristi, children Colt, Brody, and Raelee, his parents, and a wide circle of students, friends, and Northwest ISD colleagues whose lives he touched.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Commissioners Court of Tarrant County do hereby honor and recognize the life and legacy of faith, leadership, and love left by Coach Travis Pride.
