In recent months, we’ve seen a growing wave of interest from people who are eager to join the fight and get more involved with CNL. In response, we’re hosting an informational call on Monday, July 7th, at 8:00 PM ET for anyone interested in taking on a leadership role, whether that means starting a new chapter, getting more involved locally, or helping revive an inactive one.

Board Chair Beverly Donohue, along with Tibita Kaneene and Seema Reddy, Co-Chairpersons of the Housing and Land Use Committee, issued this statement in response: "Community Board 7 members were encouraged by the discussion at the most recent CB7 Housing and Land Use Committee meeting. The Committee reiterated its priority for the site—to maximize affordable housing. This uniquely large site presents an opportunity to make a significant mark on the Upper West Side, particularly by addressing the pressing need for affordable housing."

Ft. Jeremiah Johnson, Co-Founder of CNL | June 26
“But the correct way to view Mamdani is as a high-variance candidate. He might be a shrewd operator who can work New York’s powerful city council into passing his entire policy wish list, or he might end up stymied and unable to pass much of anything. He might try to push for a full slate of far-left policies, or he could pivot to the center.”

What We Fight About When We Fight About Abundance [[link removed]]
In the wake of Derek Thompson and Ezra Klein's book Abundance, there's been a significant amount of fighting amongst Democrats about the book and the broader Abundance movement. Jeremiah walks through the various camps involved in the fight, why some Democrats seem to hate the ideas of Abundance, and what this dispute is ultimately all about.
