Dear John,
Next Sunday’s Ella T. Grasso Women’s Leadership Brunch will be a special moment—not only for our party but also for me personally.

This photo of me with Governor Ella T. Grasso captures an incredibly meaningful moment. Ella was the first woman elected governor of Connecticut. Years later, I became the first woman to chair the Connecticut Democratic Party. Looking at this photo now, I’m reminded of how far women have come in this state, and how much we still have to fight for.
I’m incredibly honored to be receiving the Ella T. Grasso Award this year. It’s not an honor I ever expected, but it’s one that fills me with deep gratitude and resolve.
I hope you’ll join me to celebrate the remarkable women being recognized from across our districts, to hear from First Lady Annie Lamont, and to come together in community and purpose.

This event is more than a celebration. It’s a moment to reflect on what women before us made possible, and to recommit to everything that still lies ahead and the work we must continue to do to get there.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Warmly,
Nancy DiNardo
